Ingredients

  • ½ cup Café Bustelo instant coffee

  • 2 cups hot water

  • ¾ cup caramel sauce

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 cups milk

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Additional cold water to bring the total volume to 1 gallon

Directions

  • Dissolve the instant coffee in 2 cups of hot water, stirring until completely dissolved.
  • Stir in the caramel sauce and sweetened condensed milk until well blended.
  • Let the coffee mixture cool, then pour it into a clean gallon pitcher.
  • Add the milk, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt. Stir well.
  • Add enough cold water to bring the total volume to 1 gallon. Stir thoroughly.
  • Cover and refrigerate until cold. Stir before serving and pour over ice.

Notes

  • I use water to finish filling the pitcher because the sweetened condensed milk makes it rich enough for my taste, but you may use milk if you prefer. Fill only to the 1-gallon mark. Keep refrigerated and stir before serving.
